Nomenclatural History
The genus Tabrizicola was originally proposed by Tarhriz et al. 2013. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 156 in 2014. Tarhriz et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2019. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Hördt et al. in 2020.
