Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodococcus hoagii was originally described and validly published by Kämpfer et al. 2014. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Kämpfer et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species (Morse 1912) Eberson 1918 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Zopf 1891 (Approved Lists 1980).
