Nomenclatural History
The genus Pseudohongiella was originally proposed by Wang et al. 2013. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 162 in 2015. Upon validation, this name was corrected from (sic) to . Park et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Xu et al. in 2016.
