The species Acinetobacter pakistanensis was originally described by Abbas et al. 2014. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 161 in 2015. Nemec and Radolfova-Krizova established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Krizova et al. 2015 in 2016.
