Nomenclatural History
The genus Pseudooceanicola was originally proposed by Lai et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 164 in 2015. Huang et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2018. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Liang et al. in 2021.
