The species Aliiroseovarius crassostreae was originally described and validly published by Park et al. 2015. Park et al. formed this name in 2015 by placing the species Boettcher et al. 2005 into the genus Park et al. 2015 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2016. Dobritsa and Samadpour established as an earlier homotypic synonym of (Boettcher et al. 2005) Sun et al. 2015 pro synon. Aliiroseovarius crassostreae (Boettcher et al. 2005) Park et al. 2015 in 2016.
