The species Diaphorobacter polyhydroxybutyrativorans was originally described and validly published by Qiu et al. 2015. Liu and Zhu established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Khan and Hiraishi 2003 emend. Liu and Zhu 2019 in 2019.
