The genus Pseudoroseovarius was originally proposed by Sun et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 166 in 2015. Dobritsa and Samadpour transferred the members of this genus into Park et al. 2015 emend. Dobritsa and Samadpour 2016 in 2016.
