The species Enterobacter oryzendophyticus was originally described by Hardoim et al. 2015. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 166 in 2015. In 2016, Li et al. established as the basonym of (Hardoim et al. 2015) Li et al. 2016 .
