Nomenclatural History
The species Zooshikella marina was originally described and validly published by Ramaprasad et al. 2015. Huang et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Yi et al. 2003 emend. Huang et al. 2021 in 2021. In 2021, Pira et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Ramaprasad et al. 2015) Pira et al. 2021 .
