Nomenclatural History

The species Glutamicibacter nicotianae was originally described and validly published by Busse 2016. Deb et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Busse formed this name in 2016 by placing the species
Arthrobacter nicotianae Giovannozzi-Sermanni 1959 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Glutamicibacter Busse 2016. Deb et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Glutamicibacter mysorens (Nand and Rao 1972) Busse 2016 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2020.
