Nomenclatural History
Upon validation, this name was corrected from (sic) to . The species Achromobacter agilis was originally described by Bergey et al. 1923. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 2016 the name was revived and validly published by Vandamme et al.. Bergey et al. formed this name in 1923 by placing the species (Ampola and Garino 1896) Jensen 1898 into the genus Yabuuchi and Yano 1981 emend. Yabuuchi et al. 1998.
