Nomenclatural History
The species Acidipropionibacterium acidipropionici was originally described and validly published by Scholz and Kilian 2016. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Scholz and Kilian formed this name in 2016 by placing the species corrig. Orla-Jensen 1909 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Scholz and Kilian 2016.
