Nomenclatural History

The species Longicella muris was originally described by Lagkouvardos et al. 2016.
"Longicella caecimuris" cannot be validated as the genus name is an illegitimate later homonym of a zoological name (the moth genus Longicella). Therefore the proposed name contravenes Principle 2 of the ICNP.
