Nomenclatural History

The family Incertae sedis 201 was originally proposed by Chen et al. 2017. Hördt et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Methylobacteriaceae Garrity et al. 2006 emend. Hördt et al. 2020
in 2020.
"Incertae sedis" ("of uncertain placement") are placeholders and should not be considered to be formal names.
