Nomenclatural History
The species Metakosakonia massiliensis was originally described by Alnajar and Gupta 2017. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 178 in 2017. Alnajar and Gupta formed this name in 2017 by placing the species Lagier et al. 2014 into the genus Zhang et al. 2017 emend. Ma et al. 2020. In 2020, Ma et al. established as the basonym of (Lagier et al. 2014) Ma et al. 2021 .
