Nomenclatural History	The species Mycolicibacterium obuense was originally described by Gupta et al. 2018. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 181 in 2018. Gupta et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species Mycobacterium obuense (ex Tsukamura and Mizuno 1971) Tsukamura et al. 1981 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 into the genus Mycolicibacterium Gupta et al. 2018.
