Nomenclatural History

The species Thioclava electrotropha was originally described and validly published by Chang et al. 2018. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Kim and Lee established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Thioclava sediminum Liu et al. 2017
in 2019.
