Nomenclatural History
The species Epibacterium multivorans was originally described and validly published by Wirth and Whitman 2018. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Wirth and Whitman formed this name in 2018 by placing the species Lucena et al. 2012 into the genus Penesyan et al. 2013 emend. Liang et al. 2021.
