Nomenclatural History
The species Gulosibacter faecalis was originally described by Nouioui et al. 2018. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 184 in 2018. Li et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Nouioui et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species Lin et al. 2004 into the genus Manaia et al. 2004 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018.
