Nomenclatural History
The species Saccharomonospora iraqiensis was originally described by Nouioui et al. 2018. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 184 in 2018. In 2018, Nouioui et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Ruan et al. 1994) Nouioui et al. 2018 . Nouioui et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species Ruan et al. 1994 into the genus Nonomura and Ohara 1971 (Approved Lists 1980).
