The species Trinickia dabaoshanensis was originally described by Estrada-de Los Santos et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 191 in 2020. Estrada-de los Santos et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species
Burkholderia dabaoshanensis Zhu et al. 2012
into the genus Trinickia Estrada-de los Santos et al. 2018.
