The species Ruminiclostridium sufflavum was originally described and validly published by Zhang et al. 2018. Zhang et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species Nishiyama et al. 2009 into the genus Zhang et al. 2018 non Ruminiclostridium Yutin and Galperin 2013.
