The species Parageobacillus caldoxylosilyticus was originally described by Aliyu et al. 2018. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 185 in 2019. Aliyu et al. formed this name in 2018 by placing the species (Ahmad et al. 2000) Fortina et al. 2001 into the genus Aliyu et al. 2019.
