Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Eberthella was originally proposed by Bergey et al. 1923. Bergey et al. elevated the subgenus
Bacterium (Eberthella) Buchanan 1918
to the rank of genus to form this name in 1923. White transferred the members of this genus into
Salmonella Lignieres 1900 emend. Le Minor and Rohde 1974 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 1930.
