The species Lachnoclostridium hylemonae was originally described by Yutin and Galperin 2013. Yutin and Galperin formed this name in 2013 by placing the species
Clostridium hylemonae Kitahara et al. 2000
into the genus Lachnoclostridium Yutin and Galperin 2013.
Yutin and Galperin 2013 did not formally propose this new combination.
