Nomenclatural History	The species Peptoclostridium difficile was originally described by Yutin and Galperin 2013. Yutin and Galperin formed this name in 2013 by placing the species Clostridium difficile (Hall and O'Toole 1935) Prévot 1938 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Peptoclostridium Yutin and Galperin 2013 non Peptoclostridium Galperin et al. 2016. Yutin and Galperin 2013 did not formally propose this new combination.
