The species Pseudomonas humi was originally described by Akita et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 188 in 2019. Lalucat et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Seubert 1960 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Lang et al. 2007 in 2020.
