Nomenclatural History
|
The species Marinobacterium iners was originally described by Tindall 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 191 in 2020. González et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Marinobacterium georgiense González et al. 1997 emend. Satomi et al. 2002
in 1997. Tindall formed this name in 2019 by placing the species
Pseudomonas iners Iizuka and Komagata 1964 (Approved Lists 1980)
into the genus Marinobacterium González et al. 1997.
