Nomenclatural History
|
The species Halobonum tyrrellense was originally described by Ugalde et al. 2013. Oren et al. corrected this name from Candidatus Halobonum tyrrellensis (sic) to Halobonum tyrrellense .
This taxon cannot be Candidatus because the strain it is based on was based on a pure culture.
