Nomenclatural History
The species Borreliella mayonii was originally described by Gupta 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 191 in 2020. Gupta formed this name in 2019 by placing the species corrig. Pritt et al. 2016 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 into the genus Adeolu and Gupta 2015.
