Nomenclatural History
The species Geomonas bremensis was originally described by Xu et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 191 in 2020. Xu et al. formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Straub and Buchholz-Cleven 2001 into the genus Xu et al. 2020 emend. Itoh et al. 2021 non Geomonas Khan et al. 2020.
