Nomenclatural History
The species Lacrimispora xylanolytica was originally described and validly published by Haas and Blanchard 2020. Haas and Blanchard formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Rogers and Baecker 1991 emend. Chamkha et al. 2001 into the genus Haas and Blanchard 2020. This name replaces the name (Rogers and Baecker 1991) Yutin and Galperin 2013 .

Haas and Blanchard 2020 incorrectly list the 16S gene in Figures 1 and 2 as NR_119068, which is actually the 16S gene for the type strain of Clostridium aerotolerans. Figure 2 additionally lists SPL73 as the type strain, which is actually the type strain of Clostridium algidixylanolyticum.
