Nomenclatural History	The species Planococcus glaciei was originally described by Gupta and Patel 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 193 in 2020. Gupta and Patel formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Planomicrobium glaciei Zhang et al. 2009 into the genus Planococcus Migula 1894 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Gupta and Patel 2019.
