Nomenclatural History
The species Phocaeicola sartorii was originally described by García-López et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 193 in 2020. García-López et al. formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Clavel et al. 2010 emend. Sakamoto and Ohkuma 2012 into the genus Al Masalma et al. 2009 emend. García-López et al. 2019.
