Nomenclatural History
The species Sediminibacterium lactis was originally described by García-López et al. 2019. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 193 in 2020. García-López et al. formed this name in 2019 by placing the species Lee et al. 2013 into the genus Qu and Yuan 2008 emend. Kim et al. 2013.
