Nomenclatural History	The species Roseovarius litorisediminis was originally described by Hördt et al. 2020. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 194 in 2020. Hördt et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Pelagicola litorisediminis Park et al. 2013 into the genus Roseovarius Labrenz et al. 1999 emend. Liang et al. 2021.
