Nomenclatural History	The species Latilactobacillus sakei was originally described and validly published by Zheng et al. 2020. Zheng et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Lactobacillus sakei corrig. Katagiri et al. 1934 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Klein et al. 1996 into the genus Latilactobacillus Zheng et al. 2020.
