Nomenclatural History

The species Pseudodesulfovibrio dechloracetivorans was originally described by Waite et al. 2020. Galushko and Kuever formed this name in 2019 by placing the species
Desulfovibrio dechloracetivorans Sun et al. 2000
into the genus Pseudodesulfovibrio Cao et al. 2016 emend. Waite et al. 2020.
There is no viable deposit of the type strain.
