Nomenclatural History
The species Chryseomonas asuensis was originally described by Saati-Santamaría et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 202 in 2021. Saati-Santamaría et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Reddy and Garcia-Pichel 2015 into the genus Holmes et al. 1986 emend. Holmes et al. 1987.
