Nomenclatural History
The species Neopseudomonas profundi was originally described by Saati-Santamaría et al. 2021. Saati-Santamaría et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Sun et al. 2018 into the genus Rudra and Gupta 2021.

This name cannot be validly published because the genus is an illegitimate later homotypic synonym of Halopseudomonas Rudra and Gupta 2021.
