Nomenclatural History	The species Halalkalibacterium halodurans was originally described by Joshi et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 203 in 2022. Joshi et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Bacillus halodurans (ex Boyer et al. 1973) Nielsen et al. 1995 emend. Liu et al. 2019 into the genus Halalkalibacterium Joshi et al. 2022 non Halalkalibacterium Wu et al. 2022.
