Nomenclatural History	The species Shouchella gibsonii was originally described by Joshi et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 203 in 2022. Joshi et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Bacillus gibsonii Nielsen et al. 1995 into the genus Shouchella Joshi et al. 2022. Joshi et al. 2021 misspell the epithet as gibsoni in the proposal.
