Nomenclatural History
|
The species Pusillimonas faecalis was originally described and validly published by Kitahara et al. 2021. Kitahara et al. corrected this name from Pusillimonas faecalis (sic) to Pusillibacter faecalis .
The proposed genus name Pusillimonas is in conflict with rule 53 of the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes, because it duplicates a genus epithet previously validly published for a genus (Pusillimonas Stolz et al. 2005).
