Nomenclatural History
The species Arcobacter arenosus was originally described and validly published by On et al. 2021. This name replaces the name Baek et al. 2021 .

On et al. 2021 proposed this name as a new combination of Halarcobacter arenosus Baek et al. 2021. Unfortunately, that name had not yet appeared on a Validation List (and now that is not possible because it would it would lack priority and therefore be considered a later homotypic synonym). This name is therefore considered a sp. nov.
