Nomenclatural History
The species Algibacter luteus was originally described by Li et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 208 in 2022. Li et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Zhang et al. 2013 emend. García-López et al. 2019 into the genus Nedashkovskaya et al. 2004 emend. Shakeela et al. 2015.
