Nomenclatural History
|
The species Geobacillus thermoleovorans was originally described and validly published by Nazina et al. 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Dinsdale et al. published an emended description of this species in 2011. Nazina et al. formed this name in 2001 by placing the species
Bacillus thermoleovorans Zarilla and Perry 1988
into the genus Geobacillus Nazina et al. 2001 emend. Aliyu et al. 2018.
Aliyu et al. 2018 also proposed a new combination of Bacillus thermoleovorans into Geobacillus, but this had already been validly published by Nazina et al. 2001.
