Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces minutiscleroticus was originally described by Pridham 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lanoot et al. published an emended description of this species in 2005. Lanoot et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex Pridham 1970) Goodfellow et al. 1986 pro synon. Chainia flava Thirumalachar and Sukapure 1964 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2005. Garrity et al. established as a later homotypic synonym of Thirumalachar et al. 1965 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2007.
