Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces rectiverticillatus was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium hiroshimense (Shinobu 1955) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2003. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Krasil'nikov and Yuan 1965) Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2017.
