Nomenclatural History

The species Streptomyces setonii was originally described by Waksman 1953. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Kim et al. published an emended description of this species in 2012. Liu et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptomyces griseus (Krainsky 1914) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2005. Kim et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptomyces fimicarius (Duché 1934) Waksman and Henrici 1948 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 2012.
